Ayla is a gripping new musical theatre sensation. Through music, movement and multimedia technology, it places urgent themes centre-stage: the struggle to imagine a future in the face of social and environmental crisis;

the strength of a determined leader in the face of adversity; and the redemptive power of unity in the face of division.

 

Set in an ancient forest in the far future where humanity has succumbed to the effects of climate disaster, Ayla delves deep into themes of survival, love, leadership and betrayal, and explores the emotional turmoil of its characters as they grapple with their fears, regrets, and loyalties. 

 

The protagonist is a young woman named Ayla. Her journey is one of courage, resilience, and transformation, as she evolves from a reluctant young princess into a courageous and formidable leader, guiding her people towards a new dawn.
